com will increase fees starting from September 1st.

Verisign announced this month that it will raise the wholesale price of .com domain names from $9.59 (approximately 68 RMB) to $10.26 (approximately 73 RMB) on September 1, an increase of 7%.

The .com domain registry (Registries) was established in 1985 and is the third largest registry after .ORG and .NET top-level domains. Initially managed by the U.S. government, the registry transferred management rights to VeriSign in 1993.

Currently, VeriSign operates the .com domain registry, responsible for registering and managing .com top-level domains globally.

Not sure if it's still fun to play, fortunately, there are now many domain name extensions, with as many as a dozen for the .cn extension. However, some organizations are still not satisfied with their greed for money, separating privacy and requiring separate purchases.
